about

What does faith mean in today's world with our Gnostic search for the divine in the technology which surrounds us?

The songs of the debut EP "In Times Where Eyes Are Low" lead us into a poetic world of broken hierarchies through a quest for deeper meaning: the spirits of biblical characters are summoned to divine new interpretations of hitherto male-dominated myths. Rejecting the systems imposed upon them, they begin a gnostic search for the divine in the technology surrounding us.

The voice and lyrical structure of these three songs are central to the record, oscillating between a gentle yet powerful melancholy while maintaining a constant sense of urgency until their final ascent.

The album “In Times Where Eyes Are Low” was written during a residency at Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral, Bad Ems, in 2019, and was adapted into these final compositions with long term collaborating partner Alex Rathbone.

It was recorded in 2020 in Berlin, and mastered by Samuel Smith at Greendoor Studios, Glasgow, UK.
